Is Nintendo making a HD version of the Wii console? they made the DSI and Wii HD would be exciting to buy?
If Wii HD came out then games won’t be stripped and that would be grea thing because games that have been stripped are always bad games. Mario and Zelda in HD would be Awesome. Besides the only Next-gen about the Wii is the controls and that it.
The only great games are the Mario games, Zelda and Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
I”m sick and tired of third party developers putting out crappy games every month. The Wii has more sales but it haves the lamest games ever in this generation. The Wii needs more action, racing, fighting and awesome titles that makes the Wii worth buying. I wish the Wii had a Wii only wrestling game like WWE Day of Reckoning on the Gamecube No one respects the Wii except for High Voltage Studios and Treyarch. When I watched X-play and Gametrailerstv all I see are tons of 360 games and PS3 games but little Wii games every time I watched those shows
The Wii have more games getting bad reviews and because family games and casual always get bad reviews but people are still making those type of games trying to make a quick buck. No one if if the next Need for Speed game on the Wii because the previous always suck because developers always try to make the 360 and PS3 but they do nothing to make the Wii version a must have and all developers always do that, they spend more time on the 360 and PS3 version but they are too lazy and too racist to make the Wii version a must buy and people like them should not be making a Wii version if they don’t try to make it as one of the best Wii games ever. I wish developers spend more time on Wii games just like they do with the 360 and PS3, their only priority is to make the Wii version a bad game while they spend all of their time on the 360 and PS3 versions to make a game worth buying and it is not fair to Wii owners. The Wii has more sales and it is always sold out but if ask anyone in this country to decide which is the best next-gen console a lot of people would say the 360 or PS3. As Hardcore Wii gamers we feel that no one respect us and we are being undeserved. Madworld, The Conduit and Disaster day of crisis are I want to spend my money but no one knows if there are going to be games for us mid 2009 or late 2009
It won’t happen anytime soon. Wii has been so succesful, that Nintendo has no reason to improve its hardware. That would actually be going against the “spirit” of Wii.
So, if you want to get a Nintendo console with HD, you will have to wait for the next generation, meaning at least 3 more years.

The Wii will not be getting the HD treatment. One of the reasons that the Wii is so appealing is the price. It was 250 bucks vs. 400 bucks for the 360 and 500/600 bucks for the PS3 at their respective launch. In order to keep the price down, Nintendo can’t afford or more likely, don’t want to spend the extra money to make a HD version of the Wii. Are you aware that Nintendo is the only game that was making a profit for every console for the first 12 – 18 months? Sony and MS were losing money for every PS3 or 360 sold for about the first 18 months. If the Wii got the HD treatment, Nintendo might lose money for every Wii sold, and that’s not something that Nintendo wants to do.
Don’t blame developers because Wii games suck. Blame it on Nintendo. Asking developers to make games similar to PS3/360 games is like asking them to make God of War on the Atari 2600. It just won’t happen because developers are limited by the hardware.
